In compliance with AYSO National Rules and Regulations, the Regional Board of Directors of AYSO Region 41 announces the opening of the application period for the position of Regional Commissioner.  The position of Regional Commissioner is the person charged with the daily operation of the local AYSO region.  The Regional Commissioner position requires a time commitment averaging on 25-40 hours per week. During the months of the primary and secondary program hours can increase depending on program requirements, meetings and special events.

Qualifications to be eligible to nominate yourself or be nominated for this position are that you are preferably a current or past Regional Board member or a registered volunteer in good standing with the organization. 

The process is to have open nominations and candidates presented to the Nomination Committee (NC). The NC will then vet each of the candidates for eligibility and as a volunteer in AYSO in good standing. At the conclusion of the open nomination time period, the NC will send the candidates applications to the Regional Board to review. The Area Director will then conduct an election to vote on who will be the Regional Commissioner. Once that is complete, the Area Director will forward to the Section Director and then to the AYSO National Board of Directors for approval.

The nomination period is open now and will close June 14th, 2025. It is anticipated that the vote will occur on June 22nd, 2025 and the Board Members in place at the time of the open nominations will be eligible to vote.
