Fall 2010

Just the facts:

Future WALK IN registrations will be announced here. Currently we're accepting MAIL-IN registrations only. Please see MAIL-IN registrations below.

AYSO Region 41 wants to ensure that any player who wants to play, will not be held back due to financial need.  For this reason, we are lowering our fees to a Recession Buster price of $95/player for everyone attending a walk-in registration.

Financial Assistance is available to families that have been affected by the recession.  Please attend a Registration Event and perform the registration process.  When you get to the payment table please ask for our Treasurer; he'll meet with you confidentially and make the appropriate arrangements.  Region 41 takes AYSO's philosophy that "Everyone Plays" literally in our desire to offer soccer to every interested child in Laguna Niguel.

Too busy to attend a walk-in event?  Please

Some things you might want/need to know:

Season Dates: The Fall Season begins with practices for the U8 - U19 in late August.  Regular season games for U5 - U19 begins on September 11 and runs through November.  Then the older divisions begin post-season play-offs and conclude before Christmas.

FAQ's: Please see the FAQ's on the Parent Tab for answers!

Divisions: Players play with and against children their age.  This  chart shows the way we divide the players into divisions, then teams.  Players may "play up" with an older division with the approval of the Division Directors and the Regional Commissioner.

Note: Special requests to "Play Up" are usually discussed at the Walk-In Registrations, but may be handled via email for those choosing to use our Mail-In Registration process.

VIP: This division exclusively serves our special needs community.  AYSO believes that the "Everyone Plays" philosophy applies to everyone! The teams are co-ed.  Please click here for more information on the VIP division.

Teams: One of the philosophies of AYSO is  "Fair and Balanced teams."  Teams in the U10 and older divisions are balanced: players are rated by their coaches in the prior fall season and that rating is entered into the database.  The computer program sorts the players by gender and  rating to create balanced teams.  The U5 Jamboree program is co-ed, but usually the boys play boys and the girls play girls during the game time of the play group sessions.  The U6 program is often school-based, but not always.

Team Requests: We discourage players from requesting coaches or teammates, as the computer program used to balance the teams does not take those requests into consideration.
