Coach Training Information- Fall 12

There are 3 important steps that must be completed each season in order to be an
AYSO Coach or Assistant Coach and awarded a team.

The requirements are the same for head coach and assistant coaches.  Coaches must complete ALL training prior to August 11, 2012 when we're kicking our season off with Region 41's first ever Meet the Coach Day!

Please attend any required classes as early as possible!  Failure to complete your training on time makes team formations extremely difficult and may force us to turn registered players away. Please work with the Coaching Staff or your Division Director to insure that you your are prepared for Fall.

Step 1  Every coach needs to submit a Volunteer Application annually before the Fall Season.  Click HERE to log on to eAYSO and create a new Volunteer Record or update your exisitng VAF (Volunteer Application Form).  Follow the Instructions to provide an Electronic Signature and eliminate the need to print and mail your application.  If you have any questions regarding Volunteer Application Forms, please contact Diane Lannon our Volunteer Director.  A Volunteer Number is required to register for classes on eAYSO.

Step 2  Coach Training:  Every coach and assistant coach needs to have age-appropriate coaches training.  If you already have the certification for the age you will be coaching AND the training is visible in eAYSO on your Volunteer Record, then you're done with Step 2!   If you haven't had the required training,  please select the appropriate Training Chart below to find a class that fits with your personal schedule.  The Charts provide all the information necessary to enroll in a class.

Step 3  AYSO's Safe Haven Class:  Every coach needs to attend a Safe Haven class and pass the Certification Test before you can work on the field with children.  Safe Haven is also a one-time certification; if you have the certificate and it's posted to your Volunteer Record in eAYSO, then you're done with Step 3!  Every Training Chart has Safe Haven classes included at the bottom of the page.
