AYSO Turns 50!!

AYSO, in a joint effort with the city of Torrance, had a float in the 2014 Rose Parade on Wednesday, Jan. 1. The parade was a blast! The AYSO float featured float riders Cobi Jones, contest winners Martha and Angie Lopez and the Bonchonsky family - a family with three generations of AYSO players. Surrounding the float were The Futboleros, a talented group of soccer "tricksters" who were happy to show off their skills on the 5-mile parade route. In the days leading up to the parade, players from a VIP (Very Important Player) program in Granada Hills, Calif., stopped by the float to check it out. Other visitors included Jimmy Conrad, the Fox Sports West Girls, Bob Eubanks, Stephanie Edwards and a plethora of news crews. We hope that you tuned in to the parade and that you enjoyed the broadcast. This was a great way to kick off AYSO's 50th anniversary year, and there will be a lot more to come. Happy New Year! Check out AYSO's Instagram page for more pictures.
